TULSA, OK – October 9, 2024 – Norrhydro Ltd, a leading hydraulic cylinder manufacturer in Rovaniemi, Finland, and Aberdeen Dynamics, a motion and control solutions provider in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, have announced an exclusive partnership to bring the NorrDigi® MCC technology to the U.S. oil and gas market by the end of 2024. Under the terms of this multi-year agreement, Norrhydro’s innovative NorrDigi® MCC system will be available in the U.S. oil and gas market exclusively through Aberdeen Dynamics. The patented system was tested and validated at a test rig in Tulsa, Oklahoma, during the Spring of 2024. Compared to conventional hydraulics, work cycle times improved by 50% in onshore oil rig pipe lifting applications, demonstrating excellent maneuverability and soft end-cushioning. The NorrDigi® MCC technology is designed for energy recovery and improved movement control. When adopted at scale, it will significantly boost productivity and enhance safety in drill rig operations.
